// When I Grow Up by Juliette//

My dear friend Juliette shared the following with me and she granted my wish to share it with you.  Breathe deep and let the words fill you as you read.

When I Grow Up

  1. I will keep a journal of my thoughts, my feelings. Silly or otherwise, the journey of my life.
  2. I will remember to write down the names of all the people I love.  Just me, a list of the best.
  3. I will always try to forgive, that’s the hardest job of all.  Not just personal, bu t the unkindness toward oth ers.
  4. I will try to put my personal agenda away.  It gets in the way of my life, think we all concentrate too much on that part.
  5. When I look in the mirror - on occasion, I will remember that if I can attain just a little beauty on the inside - it will take me through t he rest of my journey, just a little easier - that’s all.
  6. I will remind myself, that to love is beautiful, to get it back is not always an option.  Give it with joy , with everything you have.  And that, will make you smile and put one foot in front of the other.  You will have the satisfaction of knowing you gave something of beauty, something everlasting.  Never take it back.  It is a gift - for someone you care ab out.
  7. I will listen to beautiful music, whenever I can.  I will look at the artists of times gone by - and wonder at their incredible talents, and look further, at the passion, at what they were trying to say to me - to others.
  8. No matter what, I will try to say kind things - regardless.  I will try to put anger, recrimination behind me.  Again, it’s about forgiveness.
  9. I will try every morning - to wake up - to say - “Thank you” for the gifts, the treasures given to me - my whole life thru.
  10. When those I care for are ill, are downtrodden, when they don’t seem to have any options for them, I will sit down, and try to get them to another place.
  11. All of the above, done out of love, never out of self-promotion.  Just to get out there - to try.  Simply that - to try.
  12. And, at the end of my life, perhaps if I try - if I try over and over again, my list of things, and a million more challenges, perhaps an angel will reach out her hand, and say, “Welcome to our world”  All things are possible.

Such is life.  Good, profound.  The best.  Juliette

Juliette’s list of intentions is thought-provoking and inspirational.  It reminds us to look outside ourselves, do for others and see and experience the beauty in all things.  I am so glad she shared this with me, us.  Do you have grow-up list?  Will you share some of it with us?

Thank you, Juliette!
