The Good
(and not so good) I love my cats, Devi and Kali. I’m concerned about Kali; she’s losing weight but is acting just fine. Bringing her to the vet is a nightmare because she gets all crazy but it might be a necessary trip.
My son took second place in his bowling tournament this weekend, however, no matter...

Morning Moments - Peace and Inspiration
I woke up early this Sunday morning, pulled on some jeans and a light long-sleeve shirt and headed out of the house sans make-up (egad!), and drove to a nearby cemetery that has beautiful statuary and lovely early morning light. I stopped by the gas station on the way to pick up a giant cinnamon roll for my husband and a banana chocolate chip muffin for me for when I returned home.

The Good
Don’t give up! Good things do happen, often when you least expect it.
A favorite pair of dress pants that are actually quite comfy.
When pain relief finally kicks in.
The Anticipated
The heat from a long, hot shower soaking into my skin and warming up this morning chill.

When I Grow Up by Juliette
My dear friend Juliette shared the following with me and she granted my wish to share it with you. Breathe deep and let the words fill you as you read.
When I Grow Up
I will keep a journal of my thoughts, my feelings. Silly or otherwise, the journey of my life.
I will remember to write down the names of all the people I love. Just me, a list of the best.
I will always try to forgive,...

Birthday Blues
I’m not sure why but every year I get the blues on my birthday. Why do you suppose that is? I try not to have any expectations for what people consider their “special” day, so why am I often disappointed and then fall into a deeper funk by wondering why I’m not at a different place at this point in my life?
I’m generally a positive person but this one day each...

My Name
Using an online prompt, I just wrote this little poem:
My real name is Pamela
Yesterday my name was down in the dumps
Today my name is quietly inspired
Tomorrow my name will be poetry in motion
In my dreams my name is Susan G. Woodridge.
Wanna give it a try? If you do, will you share your poem in the comments of this post or share a link to where you’ve posted it? I’d love to...
